Experience the epitome of island living at our 4 star resort

The epitome of island living

The Maldives is a group of 26 atolls and over 1,192 islands; less than half of which are inhabited. The Maldives is located on the Indian Ocean, neighboring Sri Lanka and India. Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives is located in the South Male Atoll and is the ultimate portrayal of island living, complete with both land and overwater villas, swaying palm trees bordering a pristine white beach and azure waters; home to an abundant array of marine life. We give our guests a chance to dive into Maldivian culture and history, all while enjoying a relaxing, island vacation.

The Maldives is a year-round destination. You are sure to fall in love with the fantastic weather, no matter when you visit. However, depending on what you want to do, here's a monthly breakdown of the climatic conditions in the Maldives:

December - April: These months constitute the Maldives' summers and are also the peak tourist season. Between December and April, the island boasts dry weather. There will be little or no rain showers during this time, making it ideal for tourists to travel.

May - November: Mostly defined by the South West Monsoons; while this time of year sees fewer tourists, temperatures are still high, so the sea's warm enough for swimming, snorkelling or scuba diving. And if it does rain, you've got the perfect excuse to explore the Kandooma Spa by COMO Shambhala, which offers a wide range of treatments while making the most of the surrounding natural beauty.
